DvdShrink Encode's twice?

Well i have been backing up Dvd for a lil while now. But recently iv notice that when i use dvdshrink and when it starts to encode witch doesnt take that long. Once that is done it goes into Encoding again but for a longer time. "over an hour".This doesnt seem to be right.. Or am i just thinking different?

After you hit backup in the main window check Quality settings these functions create a better DVD when compression is used but require that the program makes extra passes over the file

Yeah, it's not actually a double encode. It's a deep analysis, that goes before the encode. I recommend it w/ any DVD that needs any compression at all but if you really don't want it you can turn it off doing what philraz says.
