Ifoedit "crash" error when splitting DVD9 - 2 DVDR's

I am trying to split a DVD 9, and burn it onto 2 DVD R's. Specifically, "ALI"

The only instructions I have found on this say to use smartrip to rip half of the DVD, then the other half.
Then to use Ifoedit and "get VTS sectors", which seems to work fine, then it advises to use the VOB extra's menu, and choose every option accept for Re-Mux, then run. Everytime I get to this step, Ifo crashes, and closes??

Then another guide says to use DVDDecryptor, rip the whole DVD, then try and split the DVDR's using Ifoedit again.

Here is the messege:
Error 1- "failed to open for writing: C:\...VTS_01_1.VOB"

Error 2- Error Writing File

Error 3- Finished correcting VOBU Pointers

Error 4- Error open file. Maybe it is write protected.

Both ways crash!! Every thing works as the guides say up to the point of clicking to "split"...then...when it should pop up a progress window...instead...it crashes??

Is there an issue with Ifoedit and WinXP??? or is something else the cause?

If anyone else has experienced this, and knows a fix, please post it!!

I am adding this second part after further searching for answers...it seems as if there might be a problem with Ifoedit being able to split files larger than 4GB?? Anyone else having this issue??? If so, how have you solved it??

I am having the same problem but I think it has to do with the compatiblity of Win Xp and Ifoedit
