1.5 firmware but can I play 2.0 games?

I have 1.5 firmware but I want to play pro evo 5 umd game which requires 2.0 to play. I have fastloader 0.7 I don't wanta do a umd dump I'd rather play the game off the UMD since I got it with my psp.
I have tried yoshihiro's version changer. When I go to load the game I get this error The game could not be started. (FFFFFED3)
Can anyone help??
As I'm sure all off you are aware pro evo is a class game and I really want to play it.

This a guide from GR13

+ISO <-- put your isos here
Once you have done all this, go back to the PSP menu, strat UMDEMULATOR and select SYSTEM MENU IN THE ISO EMULATOION MODE. THis will bring you back to the PSP menu.
Once there start DEVHOOK and click on the ISO ans then on start game.
REMEMBER TO START THE EMULATION WITH AN UMD DISK INSIDE THE PSP.
Lord of the Rings will star if you select COPY LOAD instead of SYSTEM MENU in the ISO EMULATION MODE

Hey cmckenna, i don't think you can play pro evo 5 (UMD) on a v1.5 psp. Sure you can play it off ISO, but you cannot play it out of the "actual" UMD disk for pro evo 5. I also have tried what you tried months ago (ie fastloader, umdemulator and version changers...). The only way to get the game going is by playing off an ISO for the game.
I might be wrong, maybe there are other ways of playing the "actual" UMD of the game, please correct me.

hello.i tried the steps that "The return"said but pro 5 iso don't start and it shows me o grey image says error ffffff.... smting like that.any ideas?
Return did you play this iso with the way you said?does it work?
please help thanks...

I get this guide from GR13. I try it last week and it did not work on my v1.50 either. What a suck guide?

yea im sorry to say pro evolution soccer doesn't work on 1.5 you need 2.0 sorry
and starting soon sony will incode umds with locks so you cannot copy or modifie the umb i have already tried with the beta for syphon filter and it wont work because it contains the new lock

I dont understand why you dont upgrade to play it and then downgrade when you dont want to. I used to keep the downgrader in my 32mb stick all the time. Ive upgraded and downgraded over 40 times and my Psp is still playing like new.

because the downgrader has a nasty side affect it can cause psp death and can also cause your wireless psp online access not to function as well because all newer titles and even some older one's require the new system update due to dnas thans to all the people who have been pirating psp games sony has now had to incorperate dnas into the psp firmware

Great advice in your post. Got my first isos to work yesterday. Got stuck on PES5 until I read your post on devhook. Have deleted PES5 from my stick and replaced with an iso of GTA LCS. Have you any advise on how to get this iso to work.

you have to have the umd for GTA:LCS, it is imossible to boot it from the memstick
