HD Loader, please help

I had a 40gb hd and ps2 network adaptor attached to my ps2. I already formatted the hd and load nba live 06 and nba 2k6 in it. I can see them in the game list. but once I press play, just black screen and nothing came up. I heard someone said that change the mode, but then I press select, don't see anything abt mode. Am I not using the latest HD loader or did I do something wrong? Please help, thank you very much....

when you press select with the game highlighted there is an option list that comes up with 'Kill HDA After Launch' etc......

the first in the list is mode 1, the next down is mode 2, the 3rd is you guess it, mode 3.

I am seeing the above, please tell me which to check "yes" in order to play nba live 06 or nba 2k6.. thanks so so much!!!

Disable DVD9 support = Yes = Mode 2
Kill HKL after launch: = Yes = Mode 3

you'll have to search for which mode to use on each game, google it or try mode 3 first it works most often when just guessing.
