Hi everyone,

I am interested in knowing if I can load and play games from a memory stick? As of right now i only have a 32mb stick, but getting a 1gig soon, and running version 1.52. Are there any games that would fit on the 32mb stick, and if so, how would i do it? I'm completely new to this and would need some good instructions. Please let me know what I can/should do.

Cheers

you b pretty lucky to have gotten a psp thats only version 1.52, i had the same thing when i got mine. all you gotta do is downgrade the version to 1.5(do not UPGRADE, I REPEAT, DO-NOT-UPGRADE), and use a iso loader(game loader) such as umd emulator. a 32 megabyte card is worthless, you cant put any thing on it, but a 1 gig shud do pretty nicely, i got mine a month ago

Is it hard to downgrade? Or do i have to first upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade back to 1.5? Are there special instructions on how to load umdemulator onto the card or is it as simple as pop it into the card reader and copy the files over?

to downgrade you gotta upgrade to 2.0, but EXACTLY 2.0, you can find the download at psp-hacks.com, dnt upgrade any higher, as for the umd emulator, all u gotta do is copy da files

Heres some stuff you can put on a 32mb stick.
SNES emulator
GENESIS emulator
Fastloader(recommended for newbies) or umd emulator
Pinball
Bomberman panic bomber (cant be put in at same time its one or the other)
and maybe puzzle bobble
Thats what i could put on mine b4 i got my 2g, id really recommend 2gb because if you ever wanted to dump umds youd need 2gb, and some dvds encoded remain at 1gb+
Although there are stories of 4gb(Sweet) and 8 gb(you must go on long walks) sticks being released soon along with a new firmware.
Also the 32mb stick is memory stick duo and not pro duo this means it can store atrac3, atrac3 is like mp3 but even smaller giving you more space for music. Sonicstage makes atrac3 files for psp.

If i was to put the Snes emulator on the 32mb stick, or even the umd emulator on the one gig later on, do I still need to downgrade from 1.52, and is it as easy as copying the files over, then accessing them through the system screen? Are there specific folders i have to create or copy the files to?

For the UMD Emulator youll need a 1.5 psp so ull need to upgrade to 2.0 and then downgrade back to 1.5. I suggest u do this as any other method will require u to have a copy of GTA LCS UMD
for all your downgrade needs u can search www.psp-hacks.com
