please help with sony dvd architect 1.0 problem

i currently use dvd architect 1.0 and at the beginning it worked fine without a problem,now when i create a dvd and make them into vob files ,it goes through the first phase just fine ,but during the second pphase it goes on and on non stop ,just stopping around 51% or so ,and it never finishes its final processing to finish the project.ive deleted and re installed the sftware without any luck..anyone have a similiar problem,or know if the 3rd version works better?or know of any other simple siftware similiar to this one where u can create the dvd onto vob files in simple steps..any help would be greatly apreciated..thanks in advance
