Is there a way to make the read speed go any faster when ripping a dvd movie? It seems to be stuck at 2.0x. Thanks for any help.

Mine takes about that long too(dru-500ax)and this is with brand new dvds, no scrathces at all.

I did a little research on it and it seems like most of the new dvd-rom read speed is set to a maximum 2.0x. There is a new firmware 2.0e. Don't know if that will do any good. Haven't updated yet.
