alright... had a look around for some aussie modders.... found this site with this fix. Can you tell me, will this one work well, or is it crap. Don't worry, i haven't ordered anything yet.

Well a modder would have to tell you if that particular fix is good. As for the prices, those are terrible. They sell the DMS 4 Pro SE for $99 and the Crystal Chip 1.1 for $59. That's about $40 more than the U.S. modders charge for the DMS 4 Pro SE and about $20 more for the Crystal Chip 1.1. I'd look around and try to find better prices. I realize there may not be a lot of choices down under, but I bet there's a reputable modder that'll charge less than that for a good chip. If those prices aren't in USD, then disregard this post.

it'll work but there are better fixes that drive the output low in case of a crash, this way you do not have to 'cut' the drive line on the PCB. other fixes also do not have a wait time. and i'm sure those are AUD $$ not US $$ prices.

Yeah I realized that after the fact. It came out $74 USD for the DMS 4 Pro SE and about $40 for the CC 1.1 after putting to through a currency converter. That's high for the DMS 4 Pro SE, but normal for the CC 1.1.

thanks guys. I was mainly after information on the fix, and if it is a good one, than that certaily helps. It may have been my fault that I didn't mention it was in AUD earlier, but then it is an aussie site. Thanks again guys for your help.

hmmm wait up all u Aussie buddyz...i am shifting to Melbourne on June '06,will start taking orders for modding consoles then..so u guyz can preety much order the hotwired (Soldrd)versionz of the modchips...which r a bit cheaper than the non-sol ones.
