Am I doing some thing wrong? It took me a little over 10 hours to down load, The Legend of Zorro. After I got it downloaded on my hard drive, I couldn't copy it to a dvd disk. What am I doing wrong. I tried to copy to a disk useing dvd fab and dvd shrink. Neither one of them work. I bought any dvd but I can get it to work.

Make sure that DMA is enabled for all drives and that you are not multitasking. DVDFab should be able to handle those movies, make sure you are using the latest version...you must uninstall any older versions and then install the latest version in order for the udate to take effect.

if you downloaded a movie off the net, thats piracy !!!
if you want to convert it, use Nero vision express to do the convert and encoding, then burn !!
nero does not have the greatest encoder, but works the majority of the time, other then that, there is avi2dvd divx2dvd and Nero, there are more, run a search in here for software at the top !

first of all, I did not download this movie off of the net. I bought it at Fryes and would like to make a back up to it so my kids don't destroy the orignal. I was able to download it to my hard drive and it took a little over 10 hrours to download it. Is this normal? DVD Fab and dvdshrink would copy it to the disk.

sounded like it to me !!

anyway, 10 hours to RIP to the hard drive is way too long.
i have not done that movie yet, but it may have the latest encryptions on it.
make sure dvd fab is updated, as there is a newer version and also try AnyDVD.... see if it works

I had a older version of dvd fab. I have downloaded the latest one. I will give it a try and see what happens. What would make dvd fab take 10 hours to down load? Thanks for your help. razzel

its not so much that dvd fab takes too long, it depends on other factors such as pc specs...

what does you pc have? how much ram, processor speed...etc
and, are you doing anything else while ripping?
what i mean by ripping, is what you said by downloading to the hard drive.
if your not sure, just dis-able anti-virus, screen savers, firewalls, even disconnet from the net if your not sure..

Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. I have every thing going now.Dvdfab will copy to my hard drive in 30 minutes now and I use dvdshrink to copy to a disk. The trouble I was haveing was because my dvdfab wasn't up dated. It is now and have no problem copying any thing. Thanks gear79 for the help. razzel
