this movie has been giving trouble to many use the link above copy paste the psl file to a notepad on your hd then open decrypter w/ the movie in your drive click on file protected sector's list then import

this will let you browse for the file! selct it and let'er rip (just don't #2 ok)

then use this new file and see if this eases your woes!

L8ter is correct.

The new "Zorro" DVD is just Sony ARccOS. You can use a PSL file to get around it (in DVDDecrypter). Or, you can use the http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56831 PSL2 plugin for PgcEdit (with the VTS Wizard).

However, one warning which will only apply to a few -- if you plan to open this one in VOBlanker to re-author (and a few other programs as well) Sony has added a new twist. You will see a message that there are two files that will be "skipped." You need to go and manually tell it NOT to skip these two. Select these two files, and tell VoBlanker to "Process" them. The two files are VTS_10_*.VOB and VTS_11_*.VOB -- as I recall.

For those who do not try to reauthor, the above will not be necessary.

Other than that, it is just the usual plain old Sony ARccOS, and the methods used for other ARccOS discs should work fine.

I downloaded any dvd 21 day trial and tried using it with dvd decypter and my computer froze up 2 times. I then tried AnyDVD running in the back ground with DVD Shrink it looks like this is the answer to backing up THE LEGEND OF ZORRO. I'm amazed how well AnyDVD works. I'd like to purchase it does anyone know if it can be purchased at a discount

Okay, I have DVDFab, VOBlanker and DVDShrink (and Nero). I am trying to copy The Legend of Zorro. I was wondering if someone could give me a detailed description of how to do this. I already used DVDFab to copy the movie to my hard drive. So, if someone could help me with the rest, I would be really grateful. Thanks.

If you have already ripped with DVDFab then just process your file with Shrink and burn it with Nero. If you plan to use VobBlanker on this movie, then when the program asks you to skip two file tell it not to skip these. If you skip them you will not be able to use Shrink because Shrink will error. Have you looked at the guides on using the programs.

Hope it works out for you, I just did this one using AnyDVD VobBlanker and Recode. Did the movie only though, it has no compression.

@ arniebear

One more thing. The title one says that the movie is like 2 hours 10 minutes long, whereas my disk only holds 120 minutes (or something like that). Is it going to cut off the last 10 minutes of the movie?

That is why you use Shrink after you rip. Shrink will compress the movie to fit onto the disk. Look at the guides on the bbmayo site they explain how the prog works and will show you how to reauthor so you only need to do the movie only if that is what you want.

I have had with problems with several movies as of late Flightplan as my lates problem, but I solved it. Answer: the disturbter for Flightplan , Zorro, and The Fog told me when I complained about it not working in my DVD Player that these Movies were written in four different types of formats and several of the most expenive as well as the cheap DVD player would not run some of these formats. I have a Sanyo DVD player and a NEC 3520a DVD player/writer. My Sanyo DVD player would pause when playing the DVD an if I fast forward it it would jump back chapters and start all over, there were two places in the DVD that would do this. My NEC 3520a would not copy Flightplan using DVD fab Express with ANY DVD running in the backgraound it would freeze at 49% also used Clone DVD 2, and DVD Decrypter with ANY DVD running in the background with the same problem. I have tried most of the solution given without any success. I seem to alway get the same error which acted as if the DVD was scratched or damaged.
To shorten this story when the Disturbter replaced the DVD with a different format I had no problems coping Flightplan, Zorro, or The Fog. Oh, the disturbter's don't like having to replace the DVD's either, but they said they have several times. The fail rate is high if you get an incompatible format of these Movies.
This is the reason some people have no problems coping the same DVD that you can't copy, because you have one of the imcompatible formats.
Good Luck

Sorry spelling Distributer, Supplier, Recorders of DVD
Bad format try getting another copy of Zorro.
It is possible that the DVD you have is a copy of the original and the original Copy was from the bad format. Many of the smaller DVD stores (rentals) buy one copy and then make a copy for there other stores they have or add copies to there store (legally).
You can try one of the other mentioned solutions above to see if that works for you.
Try decrypting without any DVD running in the background. Or try DVDfab decryption, VOBlanker, and then DVD Shrink to write it.
There seems to be several problems out there with Zorro.
I got a good DVD format with my Zorro and was able to back it up with no problems.

Yeah Hi everyone looking for an answer to backing up The Legend of Zorro DVD Then read on. OK First thing to do is have these three Programs DVDFabDecryter, VobBlanker and DVD Shrink these are all freeware programs. Next thing to do is create two folders One for the Movie to be ripped to using DVDFabDecrypter one to put the files proccessed by VobBlanker into (note create subfolders within the folders you create named VIDEO_TS). OK Now lets get on with it With DVD in drive open up the program DVDFabDecrypter click the arrow down by the source box and select your movie then below that, there should be a box with three dots click that then browse to the VIDEO_TS subfolder in one of the three folder you created and click ok,then start at the bottom and wait for ten to fifteen minutes while you DVD is being copied. Next program we use is VobBlanker open up the Program and at the end of the box for imput Video Manager should be a browse botton click on that and locate the VIDEO_TS File that you ripped the movie to and click open you will get a massage like there are two files that will be "skipped so go down the right side of the program and click on the botton Proc All now go click browse at the end of the box output Folder and locate the subfolder in the other folder named VIDEO_TS and click ok now all you is click Process then wait again. Now I assume that people reading this know how to use DVD Shrink so go ahead as you normally would but the first thing to do is cick oen files instead of open disk then locate the VIDEO_TS Folder containing the files processed by VobBlanker. Sorry if you find this guide confusing but this in my first guide and I do not kno how people can take a picture of the Programs and Paste them here or I would Have done my guide that way.

dvdnuts,
Run the decrypted files that are on your HD through VobBlanker then use Shrink on the corrected files

Car.Mike beat me to it, use VobBlanker...and by the way we don't need to know where you got the DVD, piracy is frowned upon here.

Happy burning.

thanks for quick response. VOB blanker, is that tough to run...mean hard to understand ? If not i will give it a try.

U know where to dload it ?

Also, even if there were missing chapters on the burned dvd, VOB will find the missing ones ? (which were blanked out somehow?)

Also, thanks to LOCOENG too. Amazing how we get help in here !!!Sorry for the "rental" thing....Did not know the rules...

So, both of you telling me I can use VOB on the FAB decrypted file ?
even though chapters were missing ?

Thanks again guys.

No harm no foul on the aforementioned, just edit it out and all will be good.

You can find VobBlanker and some guides here: http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/guides.htm

If you aren't familiar with the program the best advice is to supply the program with the source folder(what DVDFab Decrypter gave you) and give it a target folder(where you want to put the fixed product) and open the new folder in DVD Shrink for editing and burn with your favorite burn engine.

THANKS..THANKS...THANKS !

u guys are gooood !

Yes sir, I dloadedd VOB blanker, ran the"DVDfab decrypted file, with "supposedly" missing chapters, and VOB was doing its things...
skip this & that, deleting this and that..just sit back & watch the action ! created a file 4.1 GB

Then, I used DVDshrink, and encode it ....the encoded file was again 4.1 GB. Probably coz it was alredy compressed. Right guys ?

I checked, both the files created by VOB and Shrink are the exact same. Probably I could burn the files fron VOB, it would work, since it was only 4.10 GB, did not need shrink.....right? (just want to make sure I understand, and evryone else reading.)

PRESTO ! ALL the chapters are back, fraeaking me out, my wife got all excited, and we will watch the movie in next 10 minutes...THANKS to you guys

Round of applause for:
