I have a Emerson model EWR10D4 which seems to be working fine and does record well on dvd-R disks, but I was starting to use DVD-RW in order to be able to re-use them and be able to edit out parts etc. I now find that the recorder has recorded some shows I wish to keep in VR mode and although I finalize the disk I still cannot get it to be seen on my players except for a relatively new Pioneer player I have nor on any of my computer disk drives. (I have 4 computers each with a dvd drive and dvd burner in them).
I am perplexed about this and can find no way to get the disks to read in my computer so I can copy them. Well, I have been able to use Nero to make a copy but the copy will not play either so it is not the solution to the problem. Damn this is so frustrating and I cannot find anywhere in the manual to correct it except where it says to finalize the disk. I have done that and even undone the finalizing and then re-finalized the disk to no avail. HELP!!!!!
