i have been burning for a couple of weeks,i have done 30 burns and only 8 have been successful.i use dvd decryp.then dvd shrink,then my burner of choice at 4x using memorex,then better quality with maxell and all movies except those first eight,burn fine ,play for 20-30 seconds in dvd player then start to freeze for a second,every 10-30 seconds.i just tried playing the last one i did in the burner the disc was burned in and it did the same thing on my pc.i have tried various combos(1click dvd with anydvd or dvd43 in the background,or clonedvd2 w/anydvd or dvd43 in the background.i am taking out all the extras,movie only,as always.the only movies that worked were on memorex dvd-r's,which i have been reading here are supposed to suck,but i tried maxell and it did the same thing.HELP!

ran out of room,i am using a sony dru-530a burner and usually burn with roxio.the last few movies i did with dvdshrink,use the movie only or re authoring only shrunk the movie down to 4500.3 after several times.(the file says its 4.39 but when u go to burn using Nero it says the size is 4500.3 and to big for a 4.7 DVD-R,roxio is the only burner that wil allow u to burn 1 movie on multiple disc if needed,every movie i have done at that size (4500.5)takes 2 discs to burn,however the first disc is all i need,the complete movie is on this one(start to finish)if anything you cut out the middle of the credits.is there a clear cut definitive answer,or do i have to continue to waste time and dvd-r's

if you have roxio and nero installed on the same PC, there are know conflicts between those two programs.

You also need to see if you have the latest firmware for your burner and indeed the latest update for your burning software.

Check that your dma is also turned on.
