I am using DVD shrink and i go through the whole process, set DVDshrink to do it to an ISO file and then go to burn it but my DVD drive will not read the blank DVD. I asked a kid and he said that it might not be compatiable how do i figure out this problem or buy compatiable DVD's?

The first thing you should do is to check with the drive's manufacturer's website and see if they provide a list of compatible media for your burner, if so stick to those listed.

Second is to check and see if there's a frimware update available for your burner, if so update the firmware. Firmware updates add additional media support as well as enhance performance.

Here is a link you can use to check and see if a firmware update is available, just enter the model# in the search field, if an update is available just click on it to download.

Note: you can use DVD decrypter to check what your current version is as well as have it search for updates. It's one of the menu option at the top, look for drive info (i think)?
