Copying DVD+RW

I have two DVDs that a friend wants copied of High School Football highlights. The first is on a maxell DVD+R and copied with no problem. The second is imation DVD+RW and will not copy. I keep getting an error that tells me to be sure of fingerprints, etc. It looks clean but in looking at the type of media in my record now software it shows DVD open multiborder and the other one that copied fine shows DVD closed multiborder. Does this possibly mean the RW has not been finalized? It does play on my living room dvd player which I didn't think it would do if not finalized.

RW discs don't need to be finalized. The problem sounds like those imation discs - they're not great quality. Rip the disc in iso mode w/ DVD Decrypter then burn the .mds file with decrypter (assumming no compression is needed).
