My writer supports both - and +. I watch the recorded DVD's mainly on a standalone DVD player and through the TV.
Is there a preference as to what type of media to use? I've had lots of skipping issues, so i'm going to ditch the datawrites i have and buy proper TY ones TYG03

Better media, slower recording speed, don't burn right to the outer edge of disk, all will help minimize skipping.

i'm new to this forum but have been using my writers for a while now.
I always use either DVD Decrypter or CloneDVD to write, is there a way of changing the way a writer burns to the edge? or just shrink the image more?

In CloneDVD 2 chose "Custom" and change the size to about 4500-4600.
If you use DVD+Rs, booktype them, if your drive allows, to DVD-ROM.

In Shrink, custom output size. Limit size to 4300-4450. Less with lesser grade media. With TY or Verbatim could go to 4400.

Use which ever format works best for YOU. BUT, make sure you use good quality media! If you choose +R's however, make sure you booktype them to DVD-ROM.
Always looking for the good stuff.
