I have the latest version of AnyDVD and CloneDVD but have not been able to make successful backups of my new movies...The Fog, The Cave or Legend of Zorro...had to use 1ClickDVDPro, along with AnyDVD and had no problem. Has anyone else had a problem with making backups of their new movies with CloneDVD??

The Cave, no problem, Zorro, no problem, The Fog, not owned. Have you ripped the movie to your hard drive yet? Perhaps you have a bad disk/dirty disk, I haven't run into anything that the sheep can't eat and digest as of yet. Any additional info will help, what error do you get, what codes show up?

Might help if you explain how and where you fail, what's changed in your procedure, if anything, media used, burn speed, what else is running, etc., etc., etc.

The Fog: PS 10 VOBU 4 56 7Clone 6TCE
The Cave: PS 10 VOBU 4 63 7Clone 6TCE
Both of these errors start about 2-3seconds after I click go inside the sheep. I burn the movies to temp. folder and then to verbatim DVD-R 16x disc. This is the way I have done it for about a year now and had no previous problems with the sheep. It works fine if I try a newer movie with less protections but for some reason whenever AnyDVD shows invalid vobus in its info list CloneDVD has a problem..thats just what I noticed so far and I could be completely wrong on this. I dont have anything running in the bacground as I always disable everything before I start a backup.

@RSG003,
The "Default" burn speed setting in CloneDVD 2 is Maximum. Change it to 1/2 the Media's Rated Speed. Example: Verbatim DVD+R 16x, set to 8x preferred speed. Every other media except Taiyo Yuden Made, I would set to 4x to be safe. This should help resolve your issues. Taiyo Yuden Made "Should" be fine @ 8x depending on your Burner & Firmware. Not Sure? Set your "Preferred Speed" to 4x for all.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I have Clone DVD ver. 2.8.33 to backup movies I've bought, however lately one of the following occurs to my backups:
1)DVD player (not my computer's DVDROM) can not read the DVD disc
2)DVD player reads, but I get pixelation
3)DVD player reads, I get pixelation and then the frame freezes
I use Clone DVD along with Slysofts AnyDVD ver. 5.8.3.1
I burn the file to my hdd first before making the back up.
Any one else running into this problem? If so, any suggestions as how to fix this.
Thanks

You have these problems becos you are using bad dvd media. Try using dvd like verbratim, maxell or taiyo yuden.
Set your dvd writer to dvd-rom.
Set your speed at not more than x4.
Having done these, you should not have the problems again..
Happy Burning...
