They do tend to run slow, have you tried clocking to 333mhz or using frameskip that usually speeds them up.

Here's a list of emulators that are of acceptable speeds and little to no problems:

FCE Ultra (or FCEU): very fast Nintendo emulator that I've had no problems with.

ePSXe: very good PSX emulator.

NeoRAGEx: Haven't used this much, but a good NeoGeo emulator a friend gave me.

VisualBoyAdvance: GBA emulator that's backwards-compatible.

ZSNES: Great Super Nintendo emulator that I prefer over others like SNES9x or something.

1964: A somewhat decent N64 emulator, but not that stable for me.

Gens: I don't know if this is very fast, but it's a pretty good Genesis emulator. I think a new variation came out that's supposed to work better, but this works for me.

If you have any info on setting up a PS2 emulator, let me know! I've been trying PCSX2 for a while, and can't get passed the bios screen.

If Im online, Im usually on Steam:
