because i have bought swap magic for both the kids ps2s.i didnt want them to have to play it with lid open,so i opened the ps2s and glued the switch down where you would normally fit piece "d" of magic switch.problem now is that neither of them work.they will power up etc,but the disk will not spin whether lid open or not,and have even removed parts a and b and put original game in with lid closed.all to no avail.i know its definately not how i have set the pieces up as i have put these on a friends ps2.in fact it was because he got the swap magic etc that i went and got them for my kids.i dont know if the back lid switch has actually gone down too far and is effectively cutting the circuit to the motor.im confused with what to try to do with it..so hence..i need a guide :)

no..its not helping :)but is it possible that if the switch is pushed down to the max,it actually has gone too far and cuts the circuit off?or is it possible that the glue has caused some reaction.as i said,i done the same thing on mates ps2 and it works fine.typical that when i come to do it for myself it all goes pear shaped :)
