Need help unlocking Pink V3 Razr :(

I received a Motorola Pink V3 razr phone for Xmas off of ebay and it is locked to a britsh provider.....I don't know where to go to unlock it and when I tried online downloads to unlock it I kept receiving errors. I'm not sure but I think it is locked to Virgin mobile....
