I installed my DMS4 SE Pro and I am still awaiting my neo fix xiii in the mail, now my problem is I wanna play my PS2, I have 1 original game andwas wondering if I disabled my chip would it affect my laser as if I didnt disable it? Just curious of course.

The v.14's don't really require a laser fix. I've talked to three modders, and two of them say that the v.13 PS2 and later don't require a laser fix. Disabling the chip shouldn't affect the laser at all. Did you flash the chip with Toxic OS?

Yes I put the Toxic OS on it, it wouldnt work with just flashing it with the DMS4 software so I had to use Toxic. I figured as much about the laser life problem.

Although I used Toxic Bios 1.4 Dev. Not sure if its making a difference but hey whatever works I say.

Well the DMS flash is only for loading homebrew software, it doesn't support backups and imports. That's what Toxic OS is for.
