Fix Error 13 w/out Modchip?

Help! I think I'm screwed! I'm modding a friend's xbox of mine and I accidently reformatted both C and E drives. Now the linux save file and dash boards are gone from both drives. My xbox gives me a error 13. So what can I do to fix this? I've read that you can stick in Slayers DVD-R but I don't have a mod chip on it. Can my Xbox read it?
Can I upgrade my dashboard through Xbox Live? Can I connect to Xbox live or will it kill my HD?
Can someone please PM me a working torrent of Slayers? I can't find a working one anywhere. Thanks for the help guys

The same thing happened to me but i did it to my own xbox.If the xbox live thing doesn't work for you and you don't want to buy a modchip. I think your screwed just like me. And don't leave your xbox off for a long time or you will get error 16 and u won't be able to play games.

Try putting the game back in that you softmodded with and then load the up the exploits.

Update: I put Slayers CD on a high quality DVD-R but my xbox can't read it. I guess I have to have a mod chip.
Putting in the Splinter Cell game will not work again. I reformatted my harddrive, so the linux loader file isn't on my xbox anymore. I've tried putting both files in my memory card but that doesn't load either. The linux game save file doesn't show up in game.
If I try Mech Assualt will that work?
I've had my Xbox off for several days now and it still loads originals. Does the clock error only happen when you unlpug it? Thanks

I dont know about the clock error, and I don't think that the Mechassault save will work unless you save it to your HDD. I used the Mechassault save and thats the only way it works.

Try the 007 game because it can load up the memory card. I think thats what i'm going to do.

well its not as serious as you may think, its a dashboard problem, but without a modchip it cant be fixed without a hot swap or running linux from ur gamesave exploit

So, if I switch to 007 loader it won't work? Doesn't it run off the memory card as stated earlier?

I thinking it should work because all of it should fit in your memory card.All you need is to load it in.

yeh i had error code 13 error too and i didnt have the exploits on my hd so i was pretty much screwed. you are most likely going to have to get a modchip or a new xbox. if you do get a chip thats beyond me. but if you can not play splinter cell then u cant use 007 or mechassault. when u reformatted your box u cleared your exploits and with no dash there is no way to put new exploits on your hd. and if you cant load splintercell then if you get a modchip u might not be able to load slayers. but i am unsure about the chip part but thats what i would think. sorry for the disappointment.

He y extract the slayers Iso and your all set there is a c and e drive there use quix. i had the same problem except my hardrive wasnt frucked

can someone help me i ly deleted my dashboard while softmodding my box. i also unlocked it .can someone send me the slayers auto installer to misterti201@yahoo.com or/and Delmars3@interlinc.net i dont know which one will work so please try both. i was trying to download the linux save on 007 that i copied to my harddrive and i deleted that from my harddrive ly and it is only on my action replay memory card i try to load the linux from the game and it goes to error 21 i guess because its not on hard drive the linux save is not saved to my drive because i cant get to my dashboard the only thing that happens when i take the games out is the logo "xbox" comes up like the screen right b4 u go to the game. i can put a game in but it doesnt go to live or anything i cant get to my dashboard does neone have any solutions please post them i think imm screwed

Boobob, your correct. I researched some more and found that the linux files MUST be put on the HD in order for it to run. So, 007 shouldn't be able to run off the mem card. Thanks for the heads up.
So the only option is to go Modchip? Can anybody recommend me a modchip?

i liked the xenium ice solderless. it had pretty good reviews and was easy to find. now if you have a version 6 then you have to actually solder it. but yeh check out that one if you are wanting to have a chip. but you might want to find out whether it will for sure work. thats what i would do.

Sleepnoob you could try to fix your C drive with xboxhdm. I am currently in the process of doing that. Did you backup any of your files onto your computer? I think you need you eeprom but i am not sure. I am currently trying to figure out what I need. If you have and IRC client then you can get it off of xbins. or you could go to team-assembly.com and get it from there. If you are looking for a mod chip then look at divineo.net They have a good selection.

hey gamer
i finally got the autoinstaller thank god. do u no nething about flash. i got my box workin finally thanx alot. i have one more problem though: if u no about FlashFXP. i try to connect and i get an error 10107. i have no clue wat the heck is happnin. can u help me. im in the dashboard "modded" and i put my ip in and everything the password and username. but when i look on my box it shows in the network settings that my dns is 0.0.0.0.0 is it supposed to have anything in it? because im not using static im using dhcp please help if u can thanx

Are you using a router or do u have your xbox connected to you computer directly? Here is a tutorial on how to FTP. but i'm not sure on if there should be anything there so check that out and maybe it will help. Did u use the slayer's auto installer to get your xbox working again?

hey gamer yes i used auto installer and their were 2 dash boards i could download a upgraded one and the normal i did the upgraded one was i supposed to idk.....yeah i am using a router my cord is in the back of my box connected to the linksys router and then another cord is connected to the computer from the router i think thats direct????
their wasnt nething to click on for the tutorial try that again please. ohh ya and when i go to xbox live it doesnt let me nemore maybe cause i dont have an account maybe but it does everything else fine but when i try to connect it just goes to start troubleshooter that might mean its not connected rite? but when i start the troubleshooter it goes to the error 21 "call customer support" or something w/ like chinese writing help please idk wat to do and how to connect.

u get ur eeprom from extracting it from ur xbox using FlashFXP, if u put it on ur computer and format it and do some other stuff Bungie cant ban u from xbox live
