scotch tape on the PS2?

can i use scotch tape on the mobo of the ps2 to keep the wires in place?

believe it or not, Scotch tape when pulled from it's roll has over 50,000v of static electricity build up in it. this is one of just a very few products that were never allowed in the shop when i was doing satellite repairs.

i do however use the Scotch double sided to stick chips to the mobo, but use the clear packing tape to hold wires down.
