what if...
what if there was a program, software, for windows or linux.
this program ran on your computer, and was essentially a bootcd/mod chip.
it connected to the ps2 or xbox through the usb port. all you had to do was go to your little home town store and buy a usb cable with two female connectors, and plug it in, turn on your ps2 and computer, and... but wait!.... is it possible to "boot" the playstation 2? assuming it cannot be booted, as it is not a dreamcast. BUT TELL ME THIS THEN. why is there those usb mod chips for ps2? what do they do? it seems to me they are the external modification chips... only external. now take those chips, and make it a software program, and what do you have? a free mod chip. and then all those greeeeeeeeedy bastards maknig money off of other peoples money, will have a sad day at the office. a sad day indeed.

Well, this : usb mods all use swapmagic as means to boot up backups...

And since linking your pc to your ps2 through usb can't be done, your whole story goes in the trash.

well what if you hooked up and BOOTED a usb harddrive?

you honestly don't have the mental capabilities to ponder such useless things. i myself, do. or...
you have all the mental capabilities, yet have overlooked this.

a long time ago, i read of this company that takes your cd'rs and makes them into the massproduced types of cd's, shiny and silver with a smoothlabel, just like a cd or dvd. that information is free, and i don't know where i got it, but it's out there. for only a couple of dollars. there must be a way, to somehow burn what those tyupes of cd's or dvd's have... there must be a homebrew way...

that is the most intriquitly woven piece of antipirate crap i've ever seen. how the makers of playstation have thought of every possible loophole in their system, and dreamcast couldn't even figure out how to make games unreadable if they were copied is beyond me. playstation, the almighty giant, the unbreakable. the xbox is hackable, but the playstation, why bother i guesssss.... i'll stick to my dreamcast. or invest the money in a mod chip but it would have to be the swap magic cd because i don't want to void the warranty... or have the laser burn out and not be able to sell it or something. if i was a wealthy person, i'd have bought the playstation 2 mod chip and a dvd burner and... do you know though, if people are going to have to spend that much money on games each year, let's say an average of 100 dollars, why not just invest in a mod chip and dvd burner...... it feels wrong, but it's cheaper.

i want to ask this final question though.

Does Snes-Station play the snes games at 100% speed? i read it's not fully compatible which made me think "how can those snes games be more powerful than a playstation2?" or dreamcast for that matter. i know i'm out of my league when i say this, but why can't someone make a good emulator for the snes, i swear! that's all i want! if i could buy one game it would probably be a working ps2 title with all the snes rpgs (jap and eng) and a few other games. and playing them at 100% speed. how they got the chrono trigger game to work perfectly on playstation 1 is something that should be looked into, as i think the answer lies there. i know it was ported though, which obviously is a more "personnal" type of emulator for that particular game
