Hello, I thought I was doing all the correct steps in making a flash disc but everytime I do i get the red screen of death...anyone have a step by step list that doesn't require you to use alcohol 120?

just burn the bin file with any burn software, i prefer ImgBurn (DVD Decrypter). burn at max speed (yes max speed) on a quality disk.

Thanks, thats what i've been doing but still get the red screen of doom...maybe my new cd's are crap...is there a way to use a flash memory card to update?

Do you know for sure that the installation is correct, that also can cause a problem.

Burn it to disc with these instructions:

1. Unzip the firmware.
2. Insert your blank disc.
3. Open Alcohol 120%.
4. Go to File-->Open and browse to the cue file. Double click it.
5. Once it's open under Alcohol 120%, right click the cue file and click image burning wizard.
6. Select your recorder, leave the write method alone, set the write speed to 4x, set the datatype to PS2, and click next.
