AnyDVD + Shrink > Decryptor. Worked like a charm. No problems. :)

oneacer gave the best solution if you want free. Getting a good decrypted file is the key. In that recipe, DVDFab Decrypter is the key element. Once you get a clean source, most of the decent transcoding or encoding apps available will process the files. I use the DVDFab Decrypter and I've been using AnyDVD + DVD Decrypter to get my cleaned HD files. RB/CCE (or RB with any of it's supported encoders), DVDCopy4, Recode 2, Shrink, CloneDVD2, DVDFab Platinum, or any of a number of other apps can finish the job. Some require separate burners and there's no fixed choice there either.

This is a version of the most requested question in AfterDawn: How do you burn a DVD and what software to use! Many have their own favorite programs and all are good for what you want them to do. So you must go out there and become familar with the programs available. Once you like a program and it does what you want it to do and you are happy with the quaility...... then you can experiment and find others and see if you like them better! Brobear gave you many programs to try out, and all of those are top notch quality programs that rip, encode and burn DVDs just fine. Most members agree that DVDRebuilder Pro with CCE gives you the best quality out there for an encoder! I use that and DVDFab Express (smaller version of DVDFab Platinum) for it's simplisity and easy of use that give pretty good quality! I also use VSO software: CopyToDVD, ConvertXtoDVD, VSO PhotoDVD and Blindwrite..... all good programs. So, you have plenty to choose from, and don't forget Nero! I use them all. Find what works for you and stick with it untill you want to broaden your experiences!

Good call on the "most asked question." I think the biggest thing that can answer that question is this: get the latest version of the program you're using. I think that's the biggest key. Like you just said, almost all the programs are great, but if you don't have the newest version, it's not gonna handle the newest DVDs. So if you're extremely loyal to Decryptor or Shrink (like I am), you should always have a back up, like I do.

I agree with the answers posted. I am partial to AnyDVD (just updated today), and CloneDVD. I used them to copy WoW with no problems. I would like to "tinker" with some of the other programs, but haven't found the time yet to do so -- but, I will.
