I've used the search function and have come up with creating the folder of MP_ROOT and then a sub folder of MVxxxx but still cannot play back. It's an MP4 file. I tried numerous folders and have done what the readme's have suggested......is this a specific problem for 1.5 PSP's?

Nope, it's not a problem with the 1.5's. I have a 1.5 and all my converted moview play just fine.

Steps 11 & 12 you should pay close attention too. I think you may have your folders organized/named incorrectly. If you follows all these steps and your movie is in fact a properly converted MP4 then all should go well...good luck

Once the mp4 is named correctly and placed in the folder, what program is used to play the movie?
I am assuming from the PSP main menu, you go to the movie icon and just below the UMD icon is the mem stick..... one clicked on, it says NO MOVIE FILES....
Suggestions???

Quote: Create a folder called "MP_ROOT" and inside that folder create another folder named "100MNV01." That is the folder you need to copy your encoded video files to.
Naming your MP4 files "24_Season_3.MP4" won't work. The files need to be named like this: "M4V00000.MP4"; you can change the numbers "00000" to fit your preference (like "M4V00027.MP4").

Hope that helps

or you can use psp video 9 and download any file. convert it and transfer it to your psp. the thing even sets up the MP_ROOT file and 100MNV01 for you unless im thinking of some other program, but psp video 9 is easy to use to put video on your psp.
what the hell is this

Did you use the psp video 9? Ive tried alot of different encoders and they also gave me audio sync issues. PSPvideo9 is best so far try choosing highest settings possible. Ie. 320x240/29.97fps/1500/etc etc.
