Hello all. Here's my question -- I need to burn more than one movie onto a DVD, the reason being I'm trying to create a collection of some of my favorite "oldie" movies such as old Sherlock Holmes episodes and some old-time sci-fi and horror movies, most of which are only an hour or maybe an hour and a half long. It is because of their relatively short length that I would like to combine two of them onto one DVD. I am using DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink, which have worked wonderfully in burning regular movies, no problems at all. Also, is there a program out there that would allow me to create my own menus on these DVD's, allowing me to select which movie I want to watch? Sorry to ask for so much, but any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks in advance, have a good one.

This explains how to reauthor in DVD Shrink, although you won't be able to keep any menus.

Using shrink or Nero to burn multiple movies to one DVD is simple. As stated above you will not have a menu per se --but all you have to do is use the display button on your remote. The display will read T1 T2. T3 an so on. Just toggle up on down to pick the title you want to watch. The most I have put on one disk is 3 full movies of 5 hours and 41 minutes or 8 episodes of a TV series.
Three movies are a bit much , I think 2 is plenty so as not to lose the color quality. The 8 Episodes did not seem to lose quality.

Recode 2 does a great job with this, no menus, but again just a small problem that is easily remedied...When I add several movies, or episodes to a disk (Dvd 5 or DL) I use the Remake a Dvd option in Recode 2...this involves having the movie in the disk drive or on HD and doing the pre-analysis and then saving to the HD (if the disk isn't already on HD)...otherwise just drag each movie, or video file from HD and into the left sided column that when completed will have 1 to 4 (even 5 movies) ready to go through deep analysis and encoding. Works well. I have Dvd Remake Pro which allows you to create your menus for dvds with several movies on them...works great just takes time to learn.

Nero also has Nerovision Express, where you can put all your clips together and make a custom menu, its not hard but it takes a little time to get a feel for it.
---edit---
example: I have video of 5 shows my band recently played, put all 5 in nerovision, picked a picture for the backround of the menu, picked what pictures I wanted for the 5 icons that select which show to watch, and set it to play music in the backround. Instead of burning right away, I had it sent to my hard drive. Now I can burn that file onto a disc whenever. Looks professional.

@Deadrum33, great heads up on that part of Nero. I have never used that part, typically always using Nero Burning Rom and so I just forgot. Great job.

Its not as user friendly or have the eye candy some other programs do, but it works for my purposes. An all in one program to capture from my digital video camea, editing tool, menu creation, then rewrites the digital .AVI file to DVD format.
