Hey, just wanted to know if there are any reasons why I shouldn't be changing the .BIN file extension to .ISO, and therefore not having to fool around with .CUE files. THis process seems to work for me most of the itme- and when it doesn't I suspect that there could be corrupted image issues instead. Is there anything wrong with renaming file extensions?

There is no problem, you can just rename it. Only, beware, because .ISO is commonly used for three kind of images:
- EZCD images;
- ISO/2352 images (a.k.a. BIN files)
- ISO/2048 (standard ISO9660 file).
so you must take care when you import them (e.g. with Nero): info such as data size (2048 or 2352) and data format (MODE1 or MODE2) must be provided, because BIN (or ISO) format does not supply such info. If your software assumes a wrong default (e.g. Standard ISO file) you'll burn coasters.
