CRC Error on West Wing S2 D4

I seem to have a problem on creating iso file from the West Wing season 2 disk 4. keep coming up with CRC error VTS_01_05.vob every time. No problem with any of the other disks in the set (7 in all). I have attempted several hardware and software solutions to no avail. Even went out & rented the same disk but sameo sameo. Current config:
Asus P4C800 Deluxe
P4 3.2Ghz 1.5G ram
Asus DRW-1608P2 -|
HP dvd740vi -| Used on primary IDE controller separately
Sony CRX320E Used on secondary IDE controller
All latest firmware for entire system. Yes, the HD defraged weekly. The HD is on a 1TB 5 disk raid 5 so it can write much faster than any of the DVD players can read.

Software (AnyDVD & DVD43 used separately of course):
OS winXP w/ SP2 & all updates
I have tried:
AnyDVD 5.8.4.1
DVD43 3.7
CloneDVD2 2.8.5.1
I also tried the latest Nero & Roxio (yuk)
I also tried 1clickDVD v4
It seems that all these programs cache the files before creating the iso which casuses the fail (I think???)
After trying my own disk (no scratches yet) & 5 other rented ones (some with minor scratches), the same error on the same file. I won't let the kids touch it until I get a good copy.
I just can't get by that CRC error. Any thoughts? Has anybody been successful? Just a bad master on 6 disks from independent sources?

Try DVD Decrypter - imo the best for these type of discs - it's a great ripper. But since you have AnyDVD you should uninstall DVD43 - even if it's not running it can still cause problems.

Thanks. They were installed separately & any traces removed in the registry after de-install. I prefer AnyDVD as it will catch a lot more and is more "configurable" if that is a word. I will see what I can about DVD Decrypter & see if it meets my needs.
