ok, you open the top, but the ps2 HAS to know you opened it. I don't think the utility works on the v12 anyways.

i know it loads, but i think it just gives you random numbers. Like i said, it will stop spinning if the ps2 knows you opened it. Take out your ghost switch or whatever you have and it will stop.

i tested hot shots golf fore online, no dice. It never gets past dnas. Project snowblind, on the other hand, works beautifully. Is there some kind of fix i need for Hot shots?

No, you have to have someway to swap for you backup without the ps2 knowing.

i got call of duty: finest hour and hot shots golf fore working online. i found out this funny thing with my v12 ps2. with what i assumed to be high quality dvd-r, (TDK), i produced copies that had trouble starting every time and had very long load times. i randomely tried this dvd-r called "value disc" that i had lying around for movie copies. this brand, called "value disc" makes the games run extremely fast. you wouldn't know that it was a copy. the funny part is i got them for free at office max once.

I wonder if somebody can help me?
I have made a backup of my burnout 3 take down disk as follows:
created an ISO file on my HD using DVDdecrypter
open this ISO with ISO buster and extracted the DNAS and IOPRP files
open each file using dnas_id.exe and patched
ijected these files back in using winimage
burned to DVD using DVDdecrypter
yet I still get DNAS error when trying to play online. one thing I have noticed is if I load my playstation up with the discid util and place in the backed up game I am still getting random generated id's as if it hasn't been patched.
This is the first game that I have ever attempted to back-up and I am pretty sure I am doing it correctly.
if I open the ISO file using PS"NFO.exe and scan the file the ID that I added shows up.
I am very confused any help will be great.

sly I guess I'm an old guy by standards. Just cobbled a PS2 together (had to bore out memory holes to fit cards). Too broke to do modding with supporting GF going to grad school. Can you please help me with backups. I promise to use actual english in our conversations. I'm 30, pay taxes and almost wish I was a kid again. I feel like I got a late start compared to you new guys lol. Any help would be appreciated and you are obviously patient if you dealt with karloz. I'm excellent with hardware, decent with software. Message me somehow as to the specifics. In advance of any future forum posts: I'm old and suck and all of that. It will happen to the rest of you with mortgages and taxes one day too. If you are an illiterate (sorry, 13 YO n00b) IM T3H 5UXX0RZ 57FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
There. Thanks for any future help possible.
