Well I am a Bulls Fan from way back when Australia got some coverage of the NBA, but i got too b commited soo i gotta say its still the bulls.
As a Player it would have to b Jordan back in the day and now it would b his partner Scottie Pippen.
and his Hiness Air Jordan
No one else will ever come close...

That's weird... The only time that i acctually showed some interest for the NBA was when Chicago Bulls had Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Grant etc... Tough Jordan alone was enough for me to watch it at 2 in the morning... I also remember Lakers main man Magic Johnson, Celtics Larry Bird...
Yeah, that was the time when it was a pleasure to watch it... Not that Shaq isn't any worse than those!

He retired from basketball, then a year later he played baseball for a White Sox minor league team. He only played a single season, then came back to basketball the following year.

Thanks ashroy.
Pretty useless what he did then. Or did he get a fat paycheck like most base ball players do?

Minor league teams are owned by the major league teams. The Yankees, etc. all have a few minor league teams. That's where their young prospects come from. If a young player gets drafted from high school, or college, they get sent to the minor leagues to hone their skills. It's unlike basketball, or football, where a player goes directly to the NBA, or NFL.
He said playing baseball was always a dream he had. I would guess at most he got paid $200,000 (115,000 pounds.) The year Jordan returned to basketball he signed a 1-year contract with the Bulls for, get this... $25 Million! (14.3 million pounds.) That was a lot, for 10 years ago.

Peanuts...
In European footy works the same... Most big teams have a B, C and some even have D teams(like R. Madrid!)
Big teams get hold of a lot of players every year, get them to play in the minor leagues, then they normally get loaned out, if they are any good they'll come back for another go in the main team... If the player is very young, they'll move him about for as long as 3 or 4 seasons! Either way that pass holding big team, will always make money on them because of the added experience... Not only that, as soon as a player signs for a bigger club his price tag will always double or treble... Most decent young players will make into the U18/19/20 national team. That alone is enough to double any price tag... Only about 10% of the players of any major team actually makes into the main pick... All the others are investments... In smaller leagues like the SPL, the main clubs own quite a big chunk of the other teams players passes... We're in the wrong bees knees...

Quote: In the year 2000 he became a part owner and executive for the NBA's Washington Wizards. In 2001 Jordan began considering another comeback as an NBA player, and that fall, at age 38, he returned once again to play for the Wizards. He played for two more full seasons, retiring again in April of 2003.
