Ok. Here's a simple way of putting it. Put the swap magic in, let it boot. When it does, insert the Slider and slide it to the right, unlocking the tray, and pull it out towards you. Do not hit the button to eject the disk. Replace the swap magic with the disk and push it in slowly. Insert the slider where you first locked it, and slide it left relocking it.

I laff at above thread.

Swap magic prices vary , as low as 24.99 to as high as 30 bucks in some places.

How many games it can get you? Erm, it doesn't get you games, it lets you play your own backup games, originals owned by you of course.

Yep!

@cs2ian: I don't know if you can play Jap imports, I don't see why not. But the only damage that could happen is if you mess up. :P

the version of backup you are using (i/e: nero, roxio, dvd decrypter, etc.) doesn't allow you to back up copy protected dvds. if your just backing up like regular dvds, dvd shrink is the best one to use. dvd decrypter is the best for games(free way). if u have nero, u can just use it to back up games using dvd backup.

Nice tut.

Does the type of disc I burn the game to matter?
Also, does the burning speed make any difference?

Type of disk, no. +R and -R are fine. Disk speed DOES matter when it comes to quality. If you burn a game, make sure it's only burning at 4X. Anything higher MAY make the videos bad, or screen position bad.

Well, actually you can use both CD's and DVD's. Which is what the second disk is for, the one that says CD. Downside though, I don't know a lot of PS2 iso's that are under, what? 700mb? Only thing I can see that would be any good is for emulators and things like that. As for where to buy it, I'm not very sure because I'm in U.S.A. and getting it was actually fairly easy. BUT I will do a little searching for you. If I get anything, I'll tell you. :)

So what would be better to use for the blank disk for back up games or downloaded iso games? CD or DVD?

I'd say emulators or anything small sized should go on CD's because those aren't as expensive as DVD's, but they both do the same. Only way a PS2 game could be small enough for a CD is if it was mega ripped. Ps2 games for DVD, emulators and homebrew CD's.

Sorry, can't download and burn Swap Magic. Don't work that way. Wish it would, I'd have saved 60$.
