Nope - like a small convenience store, where the prices are hiked, has basic stuff like confectionary, other food stuffs (usually canned lol), has magazines, the daily newspapers drinks (no grog!) and sometimes some behind the counter black label DVD's ;). Usually located in suburban local areas...
* Kind of like 7/11, but no petrol and is owned by small time proprietors, not franchisors...

I'm surprised no one has metioned true crime, when speaking of GTA clones. Alot of people were dissapointed in that. Can't remember if I mentioned it, but if The Getaway wasn't masked by an awesome story and cool underworld London charcters (ala Snatch and Lock Stock) then it would have been up there in my books!

I liked True Crime, not the sequel though. True Crime had a bit more depth than GTA, it grew on me.
I was mistaken, it was Viewtiful Joe 2 for 9.99, picked it up, hope i dont have to run back any time soon, im tired from all the exercise;)

seriously cannot agree with shauntay more. the worst game for ps2 is state of emergency. however, i really like the getaway. the bouncer was an okay game, especially since i traded some cheap yugioh cards for that game with some kid in my class ;) haha

lol thats true. if i get a game for about 25 cents i am sure to enjoy it. i actually cant remember it that well because it was such an old game but the controller vibrated way too much in that game. especially with that guy in the end.

Yeah, my hands were bloody numb at the end of that game. The graphics were pretty impressive for one of the first games on PS2. It just could have been so much more! It was short, it could have been epic - and what was with those loading screens that had info about the characters? The load times were too short to read them in!! ARGH lol!

lol the part about the graphics is so true. one of the first games and very good graphics. i guess sometimes fast loading times aren't always good ay?
i also traded some yugioh cards for shinobi but i never played it. my cousin was always saying it is a fun game, but i just decided to leave it on my shelf

Shinobi is a really good game! It's pretty hard though; it's a really satisfying game, and definitely worth a play if you own it :)

What didn't you like about it? I only ever played the first Spyro and enjoyed it quite a bit. Has some humour laced in with all that platforming...
As for Viewtiful Joe Stang, I've heard it's just as good! You a bit out of breath are ya ;)

While having a night on the turps then? lol
What didn't you enjoy about Shinobi? I thought it was pretty good considering the series was always side scrolling 2D rather than isometric... Were you hoping it to be more like Ninja Gaiden on Xbox?

Actually, yes I was LOL. Shinobi probably been a lot better if I did not have to comapre it to Ninja Gaiden.
BTW, im assuming a night on the turps mean getting wasted, correct? If so, then yes:)

Lol yes - 'a night on the turps' means a 'night on the piss' etc etc. Yeah Ninja Gaiden was awesome, but I had played Devil May Cry before it so i wasn't as blown away as i would have otherwise been. Games like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider piss me off because I really don't think there's much thought put into the control system!

Yes true, RE and TR havent ecolved much from when the first came out. At least they can claim the revolutionized their respective genres, although they havent done much to expand since then...

Yeah. Well I just can't imagine how they'll next revolutionise such a genre. I mean the jump from the SNES mario games to Super Mario 64 was pretty unbelievable. But from the 64 game to Mario Sunshine, there was only really better graphics and more linear gameplay :( . Honestly how the hell do you once again revolutionise. By the looks of the new Mario (for Wii) they are going to use the element of gravity to change the way the game plays - the physics would be awesome and it looks like thats what they're trying to achieve from the video i saw... Guess it's what Half Life 2 did - I bought that game just because I saw a video of the physics engine in action lol!
