hahah awsome. i have used Many programs that said they may Brick ur psp not thinking they would. just about and hour ago i tryed using a program to downgrade my v2.80 to v1.50. i did what it said to do, and wen i turned it back on it was all black... hahahahah o well the thing sucked anyways... my friend though my bag with it in it, and now the thing didnt play games. i just used it for emulators and music but now nothing. haha i think im ganna open the thing up and mess around with it.

well that downgrader is 99% bricker

or just buy a new mobo off ebay try looking for a 1.5-2.71 that way its good either way and maybe not a ta-082

yeah i would just buy a brand new motherbaord that way u wont have to go trought much trouble installing it

How will they know if you did homebrew, take out your memory card, say you left it at home and say you were updating, and it got screwed or so.

you wont even have to do that because first you need the receipt and it has to be in the last 12 months of purchase or if you bought it from best buy you can take it there without the receipt and they would give you a new one which is normally the one they had in stock the longest because if you give it to sony they give you a new psp with the lastest fw my friend sent his is and he didnt even know about homebrew his was just bricked because he cancelled a 3.00 update he sent it in and he got a 3.03

im a noob i got a psp fw:2.71 and i want to downgrade to 1.5 fw but i have read about so many people bricking their psps so if ne one knows about a safe 2.71>>>1.5 fw downgrader can they tell me thx :D

for the best 2.71 to 1.50 downgrader, use dax's famous 2.71 generic downgrader (google).

I am a super noob. I tried to downgrade my psp from 2.71 to 1.5 because i did not see the ICL-086 thingy in my UMD drive. Guess what happenned........ BRICK!..... yah well i told the lady at best buy that i turn it on and nothing happens. So she gave me a new one cuz i had a warranty.

I bricked my PSP --- How did it happen ?
I have upgraded and downgraded my psp's many times before as you can see from my sig. I was upgrading to 3.03-oeA when it happened.
Everything went ok right up untill the installer program said "Manually reboot psp" and when I did it it became a brick.
No recovery mode
No memory stick light
Just a green power light for about 20 seconds with a black psp screen.
I had 3.02oe-b running on this psp with custom font. coldboot.vag and bootscreen. I used 3.02oe customizer to install these (I am sure that this caused my brick) there is only 1 other thing that could of done it and that was I my psp batter was not charged enough but it was powered the whole time and I bypassed the installer check.
So if ur upgrading make sure you have full battery level and I would use XFLASH to install custom stuff on ur psp not any other new programs that come out. I learnt the hard way....

I got a new psp and it was firmware 2.71 and I used hend and devlauncher271_2 to get to firmware 1.50 and then I ran psp update firmware 2.71 SE-C now my psp will not work.

Like I said NO RECOVERY CONSOLE and I did manually install the firmaware I have never used a firmware installation program except the seflasher since the trojan did it rounds back in the day. I am not a NOOB I know what I am doing - well sort off lol

lol! Devhook does not make ure psp permanently 1.5. It makes it 1.5 UNTIL u turn off ure PSP and turn it back on again. So if u try to upgrade while emulating a firmware. it will break it.
2nd of all, 2.71 SE-C was not designed for TA-082 models. I know ures was a TA-082 cuz u are using HEN D and devlauncher271_2.
I dont mean to mock u, but this is just an explanation for why ures broke!

hack is right but also remember some people use hen-c just cause they would rather not downgrade some people are 2 afraid to do it and what not

My memory stick caused my psp to brick. How do I know I JUST BRICKED MY OTHER PSP LOL. SHIT HAPPENS

too many newbies too eager to downgrade without understanding how to do it. its a shame
