Okay, for all you guys asking question with swapmagic. The ones with mod-chips I don't know, can't comment. But this was my process.
1. Copy Scarface using DVD Decrypter.
2. Download zone loader from megaload http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VLVSWJB6 3. Unzip
4. Copy with Nero or anything, remember copy the ISO file only. Nero Should do it, did it for me, copy onto DVD-R, I use Bulkpaq.
5. Go to your PS2, Insert Swapmagic, load it,
6. Insert Zoneloader DVD with the swapmagic tool
7. Press X on joypad
8. Zoneloader loads up screen
9. Insert Scarface PS2 game with swpmgic tool, press x
10. Should work like a charm.
kassana is correct, if you follow the steps above there is no doubt that it works - that is, depending on the media you are using. I personally, even though not recommended, use Verbatim 16x certified DVD+R . I always burn at 4X either by using DVD Decrypter, Nero, or Alcohol 120% - All work great. I have used this media for months, and of all the games i have 'backed up', i am yet to have a disc that has failed to work, unless it has been an error on my behalf.
Right i need desprete help, i read the whole thread and nothing is expericing the same problem as i am.
I know this game need Zoneloader DVD i dwnloaded it and burnt it on the highest quality media Verbatim DVD-R 1x - 8x Advanced AZO. then when i put my S.M 3.6 and put the Zoneloader followed by the Back-up of Scarface it loads perfectly untill the Scarface loading screen it just freezes there constantly tried cleaning my laser, disc , S.M. but dnt work.
do u lot think i need a rebuild, but rebuilding is useless coz the file size ain't even ova 4.37 GB it's only 3.53 GB.

i have Swap Magic 3.6 and i want to play a backup of Scarface, will it work if i use zoneloader after swap magic then put scarface in the ps2?

i have done both rebuild it and copyed it without rebuilding
it and thay both work this way i am useing the swap magic plus v3.6
and my brother is useing the swap magic coder v3.8
and doing it this way worked just download >>Zone Loader DVD<< and copy it with >>ImgBurn<< at 8x and im useing HP DVD-R 16x
and also playing it on a silver slim ps2 Version 15A : SCPH-77001
and it works great.
