I took it back to best buy and got my 3rd console and paid another 65 dollars for a 2 year warranty as Im sure this console will end up going belly up.
So I spent 400 for the console, and 65x3 for warranties for a grand total of 595. Plus another 65 dollars for the mlb 2k7 game that was ruined making it 660 all together. Hope this helps...MS is exactly whats wrong with American business today.
that nothing wrong with business they just ripped you off! they made so much money! banned consoles and every person banned is planning to buy an elite. they are smart businesses! but doing bad things!

My 9th fing console was a DOA! F*CK MICROSOFT! This is f**king bullshit! I can't pair the stupid controllers with the console. My IR remote works! I am off to a party... Tomorrow I am going to drive up to Redmond and give Microsoft a piece of my mind and demand my money back! This is outrageous!

you make no sense...ripping people off means it is a bad business. i never got banned, the consoles just stopped working. its pathetic when all these "geniuses" at ms design something for years that doesnt work 50 percent of the time...i know problems happen but this many means ms botched the project.

so you know that you have to press the wireless button on both the 360 and the controller to pair it with the 360?

Yes I did... I have 2 360's now so I am always moving the controllers from one console to another!

That's outrageous that you're still encountering dud consoles. I mean, after going through as many as you have, you should have at least got one perfect unit by now, surely.
You should drive up to Redmond, and give them an earful; and I'd ask for more than just my money back if I were you.

I haven't gone yet... but I am planning on going up when school lets out! I have gathered up my phone records and I have received and mad calls to 1-800-4my-xbox in the last 5 month for 13.8 hours.

good plan. that is where i am going to get my next console because of thier warrenty. i know that my new xbox will break withing 2 years so the warrenty will be nice

as for the best buy warranty....you have to buy a new warranty for every console...its not a 2 year exchange it every time it breaks warranty. you have to spend 59.99 every time u have to get a new one. So my point to this whole thing is...dont put your hdd back in the box...and then when you get the new console with hdd...sell the new hdd on ebay and make your 59.99 back. 2x now I have taken a 360 back and they have never asked about the hdd.

I am going to go to the main security gate with the visitors pass I will receive via an email. Then I will go to building H where the customer affairs office is with my 360 in hand... with all of my reference numbers and tell them the story and say I want a brand new 360 or I go to the media... I will also dress up.

I have had 3 360's fail on me and i have lost all confidence in them its out of warranty now so my only option now is sell it as broken with all my accessories wirless adapter,camera,spare controller,charge unit etc etc or pay for repair but how long before it goes down again i find it shocking the amount of people on forums that are having problems if these were tv sets or fridges or whatever there would be a product recall.
