Yeah.While Sony updates the firmwares, they use up space...Now that I'm thinking of it, I think they ran out space for 3.40 so they removed the certificate key thing...I wonder what Sony's gonna delete next :|

Apparantly, i found out it was for keeping the PSX games downloaded from PSX network, it was for keeping their information or how long they last till they expire, something like that. This firmware, 3.72 would be cool if the PSP itself actualy had a PSN icon instead of needing a PS3. I think sony should re-adjust some things for it.

The reason there's no flash space is to keep us from customizing. They made necessary files bigger. To fit more stuff in, they just make them smaller.
BTW, the certificate key was never deleted, it was just placed somewhere else and made automatic.
Does anorexia induce constipation?

Yeah, and yeah, it was placed with the actual games themselves. Im pretty sure at least, when u press Triangle on the game, itll give all the INFO that certificate utility would make... i knew about how they made em larger, but couldnt dax have made em smaller jus tlike sony could.?

yup! its a firmware like this that for full customization (including the 1.50 kernel) you need to delete something in the flash. has anybody tried to decrypt this FW yet!??!?!?! 3.71 decryptor will work with this?!?!?

yup, when the time comes the games will require that FW so it might need to be modded but it a long time away so we'll see, as for me, im gona try to decrypt it (even tho i cant do anything xD)

Still, I can't see why Sony won't just give up and develop PSP2, and make it better this time. Maybe 2 analog nubs? Or rumble! That'd be sweet as nuts.

those'd be sweet. My opinion they should change the entire way of theri firmware or else its gonna get hacked again... and a question for anyone: There remains mysteries still about wethea pandora will work (99% it will).

thge current psp has the potentiol to be a phone! it has a headset and homebrew compatabilites! wut more could it need lol... just a suggestion for future update... psp2 should have worldwide internet acces like a cellphone! thatd be KICKASS!

If it even takes PSP batteries when it comes...
They could have changed the decryption of their firmware for all new PSP's, at least challenge the hackers. Like, TA-082 was somewhat of a challenge, but then they got generic, so they should have changed the decryption, or at least service mode, of the slims, like a different EEPROM than the fat did.

Yeah, patching batteries wasnt the best move to have made, that sucks that more than like 3/4 of batteries can make them lose billions of dollars.

But what I find stupid is why a battery even needs a circuit board, other then for power usage. That is valuable real estate which is the difference between good battery life and abysmal life.

to be honest i think they come up with OK ideas, they can be 5X better, they just want to like copyright and make something famous then they will release it on all their stuff... if they used already made ideas, theyd kick butt.
