when you say foreign games are these backup copies?
is your Wii pal or NTSC?
what game title are trying? is it NTSC or PAL?
what is your firmware version?
Can you install WAD games or WAD manager?
do you have mode chip?
Do see ios249 at the bottom od the screen when you launch the Gamma using HBC?

fiber32 and littleduk i have a wii from the UK and its v3.2. the game i'm trying to burn is a pal game called pro evolution soccer 2009, the file is not faulty. i'm not sure how to download wad files but i do have wad manager, on the bottom of backup launcher it sais IOS249. this is the same problem as i had with my other dvd-r disk, last time i used phillips this time i used verbatim. i really don't want to waste my verbatim disks otherwise my mom will kill me (not literally). guys please tell me what 2 do is it the burner i used? maybe i shouldn't use img burner and use nero 8 if i do what speed?

Have you tried ripping one of the games that work and make a back up from it to try?

Its odd how a pal console is playing USA games? I thought that was taboo unless some kind of patching had went on to avoid a brick? And doubt an origonal would be patched?

Are you sure its a pal console you have if its running USA games and not Pal games?

This one is a bit beyond my experience and I hope the other fellas can help I will read with interest.

Can you check on your Wii setting what version really is, or do you have mod chip? Is it ending with U or E? I would be suprised that you can play NTSC with PAL Wii..Can you try loading the Cios Rev9?..If you are using Nero you have to used Burn Image in the top menu..for Imgburn same thing Burn the image at 4x speed.

Did you downgrade your wii? or it is always in 3.2?

i have downgraded it from 3.4 to 3.2. my wii is 3.2E. i used the backup launcher on the homebrew channel to play my games i purchased in america. i'll try to find rev9 and install it but how do u do it?

hi i tried installing softmii, when i go to the disk channel the game comes up when i click start the screen goes blue and it sais error 002 on it. what should i do?

never mind what i said because it all works!!!!! all i did was install softmii and then used backup launcher. thanks to fiber32 and littleduk and every1 else who bothered to help me. THANK U ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!
