Less than 24 hours before the company unveils the most-anticipated phone of the year, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller went on the defensive, attacking Samsung and Android in general.
The exec called Android "fragmented" and says Apple's research shows that four times as many iPhone users have switched over from Android as have switched from iPhone to Android.

Why?
For many reasons, I agree with him. It's elegant, strong, water and dust proof, it has a quad core processor, a microSD slot, NFC, the best screen, one of the better cameras out there (if not the best), and it's not the most expensive of its high-end competitors (some of them, such as the iPhone or the Lumia 920, are quite far in price, and the GS4 costs more or less the same but for my personal experience I prefer Sony over Samsung). Of course, the Nexus 4 is currently the best device if you consider both quality and price. The Xperia Z costs about double, but it's simply the best you can get right now if you can afford it.
Edit: Wow, very nice... well between it and the other brands I'd say Apple was well and truly... well let's say Jobs got going whilst the going was good (jk).
