I've used DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter frequently and never had any problems, but lately I've been getting a Data Redundancy Error. It shrinks a DVD, then when I start the back-up process I'm getting this error and it won't continue. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there other programs to get around this? I appreciate any help...
CRC errors are usually caused by either a scratched, dirty, smudged, a bad press, or copy protected disk that shrink and decrypter can't handle. Make sure the disk is clean (clean it if it's not), if it's badly scratched in certain areas or if it's a bad press, you may not be able to back this one up so see if you can get another.
You could try using another ripper like DVDFab decrypter (it's free). It's a whole movie ripper so you'll still need DVD shrink to reauthor (to remove extras) and transcode the movie. It's very good when it comes to backing up scratched DVDs and is kept upto date to keep pace with the new copy protection. Get it here...

Once DVDFab is done just use shrink to open the files with, reauthor the movie to remove the extras, have it create an ISO image that you can burn with DVD decrypter.
