Dunno just what you'd need, but first and foremost .7z files are compressed. So, the first thing you'd have to do is uncompress them. Then perhaps use the Phoenix loader, if you have PSO or some other method for streaming games.

7z files are like .rar or .zip, you need 7zip to unzip them (in my opinion 7zip is the worst because it's so friggin slow) but anyways that's what you need. If what you extract is an n64 rom, you'll need to inject it into the Legenda of Zelda OOT iso with a special tool to be able to play it on the cube. If it is a .gcm file just rename it to .iso and burn away w/ Nero. If it's a small .gcm use fstfix first.

when i extracted one of the 7z n64 files/rom w/ WinRAR (in this case "Bomberman 64") it left me w/ like 5 items ending in .z64 They seem to be more of that same game but i dont know for sure, although they may be because it looks like they are from different regions.
there are (J) (E) and (U) items which may be japan, euro, and usa.
i'm in the understanding that if i get to put them on a disk i should maybe group them by region or should i keep everything in one folder. i need help on how to make these into playable games. once again i'd appreciate any input, thnx.

oh yeah, they are about 8,388,608 ~ 8 MB

You are right about the different regions. You only need one version of the game. The one with the ! is the original version. So i'd use the U(!) file.

The rom with a (h) means hacked rom. (t) means a trainer was applyed, could be a cheat. (o) means overdump, (extra useless info is included in rom). (b) means bad dump. (f) means the rom was changed in some way to supposably run better on a emulator.

great info thnx very much!

once the rom is a z64 file where do i go from there though?

where do i gotta put the .z64 file(s) into

people say you must put it(them) into the Zelda Ocarina of Time game for GC. Is this true or what do i do? and could someone clarify what version of zelda i need to use:
Collector's Edition or OoT Master Quest

Do the roms have to stay .z64 files or have some other file extention?

I'm stuck and i really just wanna play.

Sorry I can't help you there. I'm new at this gamecube stuff too(just ordered my max pro). But from what I read ur right having to inject a rom into the Zelda game. i'm pretty sure either zelda game will be fine. but I think only a few n64 games will work.
