I know it's not a new DVD,but I'm currently having problems backing up the DVD.

I backed it up using DVD Decrypter, then attempted to shrink the file using DVD Shrink. Then, when attempting to shrink the file it tells me that it's unable to burn this type of file.

Does anyone know any other ways to backup this movie?

Why don't you just use DVD Shrink alone?

Everytime I try to use DVD Shrink alone, the cylic redundancy check error comes up.I'm not sure why because the disc is in mint condition.

Yeah, that is weird. I backed this one up with no problem. I used the same programs you did, except with Shrink to rip, then compress, and then Decryptor to burn. the only difference is that I had AnyDVD running. Do you? I know the error you're getting doesn't have to do with that, but it's worth a shot (since we're both using the same software).

Is everything up to date with your end? Firmware etc.? If so, and still no luck, try DVDFab.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Sounds like a scratched or dirty disc. I'd also try DVDFab Decryptor. It is very good with trouble discs.

It could also be a bad press.

try creating an iso with shrink then burn that with dvd decryptor or nero I to have backed it up but only using dvd decryptor and shrink are your sure you have the correct burner selected in shrink the problem appears to be a burning one not a compression one
