I am a novice, so please step by step direction.
I am trying to use ANY DVD.
I put the movie dvd in the drive,select my settings,click OK
and don't see anything happening.I know this software works in the backround but there has to be some way of measuring progress or when it is finished. When do I put the blank disc in ,where does it copy the movie too,etc etc---please help.
thanks
Tom L.

Hi luicci,

Might I suggest you visit http://bbmayo.home.comcast.net/. There you will find what you are looking for.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

You will see AnyDVD's fox icon in the task tray. It will be red. When you put the DVD you are backing up into the DVD drive, wait a few seconds, up to 30 or so and you will see the fox head turn pale and then back to deep red. AnyDVD is now done removing the encryptions.

Now you should open your ripping program, such as DVDdecrypter or CloneDVD and proceed with the backup process.

There is a step by step guide in my signature for both programs. I would follow the link and then print them out so that you have a guide you can readily reference.

Cheers.

@9mmruger1,

We both basically used the same link which means great minds think alike :) (I'm getting better dang it).

@luicci,

If you need more assistance don't hesitate to post back and we can get more in detail. Good luck.

@lucci

You first have to use CloneDVD to rip the DVD to a folder on the hard drive. I always click the first button in Clone (copy main movie only) at the top left side of the opening screen. Then clone will shift to the left and you will need to locate the drive that the DVD is in and click it. The files will appear in the right hand pane. Click next and the screen will shift left again. Here you will select your destination drive for the burn (it may be the same as the ripper drive if you only have one DVD-RW drive). You will also select the burn speed here. Select 4x not max. Click next and clone will do it's thing. If you only have one drive a pop up window will appear, after clone has done the ripping and encoding, telling you to insert a blank disc. Do so and click okay. Now it will burn.

Here is a link for the guide from slysoft. http://www.slysoft.com

Follow that and you will have the latest user guide. I would print it out.

Clone is great.
