i have two hdd one is locked so i can use it and the other has boot files missing they give me two diffrent error codes
one is 16 files missing soft mod gone wrong
and 6 new hdd bought wheni thought it would be unlocked please help
and also i dont have a modded xbox as the soft mod went wrong
but i do have a executer 2.6 in my possetion

when you sofmoded your xbox did you make the backup before installing the mod? if you did boot the xbox with tha game and it should load and the go to the install thing and go to restore c drive!

i did but when i tryed to restore it messed up and i think it removed more than it should
i am now thinking of up grading my xbox to a 20 gig would i need a chip its from ebay it says its unlocked so would that be ok

So did you install a executer 2.6 in your box yet? if so you can use it for the 20GB hdd.

no but if i do dont i need a hdd to boot from or could i use my old hdd and use slayers to reinstall ms dash and other stuff

i need slayers i have just looked for my copy but i just remembered that i gave thek to a freind that moved away.
need slayers can i download them or will i need to by them ?
so when i get my slayers i just need to reinstall my chip but i need an adapter where can i get one from. i have see none solder adapter but its 15 quid with p+p.

just found out that i have a 1.6 mobo so i can use the solderless adapter so i need a pin head but cant seem to find a replacement pin head
any sugestions????

thanks but now when i just got the chip i have found a socket called 5v only for ver1.6 or something like that its a power lead i think as it says 5v,5 volts
wot should i do

You know your xbox version. Just buy an adapter (for executer 2.6) that works your xbox version. Follow the instruction to install it. YOu should be fine.
So you modchip already flashed right.

If you download the installer from my page, you dont need to go to #xbins. Because this autoinstaller has everything you need.
