I have been using DVD shrink with ease until I tried to copy the Bambi 2 DVD. I encountered the following message:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

Failed to read file "D:\"

Copy Protection Error - The read failed because the sector is encrypted.

I am currently running DVD Shrink 3.2.0.14. I have tried to download the 3.2.0.15 version but was unsuccessful. Is there a way to override the copy protection on this DVD?

Any helpful feedback is apreciated. midnytt

Firstly, you aren't allowed to copy DVD's unless you own them. Secondly, it's a new method of protection which Shrink won't be able to remove. You need AnyDVD, DVD43, or Region Free CSS Protection removal by DVD Fab. All of which will do what you want it to do. All of course only if you own the movie.

midnytt,
Welcome to the forum. If I am not mistaken the Forum changed the rules over 1 year ago and you do not have to own the movie to be able to copy it.

You can now also try DVDFAB Decrypter as it is a free program: DVDIdle.com/free.htm" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.DVDIdle.com/free.htm

I am still trying to burn Bambi 2. I have now encountered another problem. While in the encoding process (33% done)the following error message comes up:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

Out of memory

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Is there a way to overcome this obsticle?

Your help is so appreciated.

Thanks again, midnytt

midnytt,
Rip the disk to HD using DVDFAB Decrypter. Then D/L VoBblanker. The input folder is the DVDFAb Decrypter that was ripped.
Create a folder on the desktop and call it Vob'd file.
The output folder point it to Vob'd file on the desktop.
On the right hnd side is Process all ( click that)
At the bottom is Process so click on that last and now go get a cup of coffee. It will take just a little while to finish so just wait.
After it finishes then go to Shrink and go to Open Files and point it at Vob'd files and now process it how you want to.
