This is written on the back of HD Advance 3.0 Box....>

DVD-9 cannot be converted in the previous version.
But, now with the aid of HDAdvance 3.0, you can convert DVD-9 games to PS2 HDD easily.

Bull Sh1t!!

Is there anyway to sucessfully convert the full Ps2 original Dvd9 game to HDD with HD Advance 3.0??

I converted God Of War to ps2 HDD, yeah works fine, but look at its file size when seleced.

3GB!!??? WTF?!

GOW is like 7GB...not 3GB

I play the game and get to the part where Kratos climbs(titan)Kronos Back, and arrives at Pandoras Temple or watever....

There is a save point, and a bird...( which can be killed )

Then about 2 seconds later it freezes
but i can still hear noises(savepoint,bird, wind...etc.)

I Assume Hdadvance has only saved the first layer..

anyone know how to convert both layers successfully witout having to transfer via eithernet cable from PC.

All my details for what im running is in my signature.

Any help is gladly appreciated,

Cheers!

it only transfers the first layer from the CD/DVD drive, your going to have to shrink it down to DVD-5 or use the PC either with a direct connection or LAN, direct connection with WinHIIP would be the recommended.

after you do get the full file on there HD Advance 3.0 will play it though.

So my playstation2 will not convert both layers to ps2 HDD?

looks like im going to have to figure out how to turn my ps2 drive into a DVD+RW burner, that way i can play games and burn them using my ps2....<SARCASIM! LOL!!!!!!

Has anyone made a program that automatically shrinks gow 1st and 2nd layer together?, that way i can be lazy.

Ive tried the gow dvd 5 tutorial, i got half way and gave up due to errors...and some parts can be too complex to follow.

Sonix's GOW tutorial version 1 is so simple my 3 yrs old could do it and not screw it up, if you cant do that one you might as well give up on it :)

Im sorry what does "booktyping" mean?

Is it possible to burn DL discs with a normal DVD+RW drive?

the booktype is the bitsetting, the format in which the disk tells the reading device it's writen in. some players will only read a -ROM and if booktyped to anything other then -Rom it simply will fail to read the disk.

and no a single layer burner can not burn to a DL disk, inserting a DL disk into one that doesnt have a firmware that supports at least reading a DL disk can actualy screw the drive up.
