can someone please explain to me how I can use a rw disc. I want to use the rw to put files upon and be able to remove them later. I should be able to use it like a big floppy but when i try to put files onto it it wants to burn them which will not allow me to use the disc again. any help would be appreciated

What do you mean by it will not allow you to use the disc again? The disc can afterwards be erased and reused.

Nero calls it InCD and Roxio calls it DirectCD. Basically, they allow you to use your rewritable like a removable hard drive. The problem with using these add-ons is that your RWs may not be readable unless you have the InCD or DirectCD programs/drivers installed. So if you lend it to a friend, the disc might appear blank. That's why I stayed away from installing or using these proprietary programs. BTW, I'm not sure if these work with DVD rewritables. It's better to just burn and use quick erase. And if you want to be able to add files to an already burned DVD, you need to use the Multi-session feature each time you burn. You'll be able to add files until your DVD fills up.
