I realze that this has something to do the compression ratio- but does the number in the left indecate the real compression ratio? new user to this proggy-I am very happy with it so far... and the anydvd works with 1 click dvd copy, but still like the end product of dvdclone2, not to mention you have more controll- do not no if it does dual layer though? I useally use dvdshrink, 1click, 321copyxplatium, dvddecrypter, and dvdfab- dvdclone2 ids the best along w/ dvdfab...

The higher the number, the less the compression, and yes, it will support DLs.

I did a dual layer of The Constant Gardener using CloneDVD2 and it came out perfect, no glitch at the layer break.

arniebear, I also did the same, Constant Gardner, CloneDVD 2 , Dual Layer Verbatim , no glitches at all. To: herrick: If CloneDVD 2 says 70%, this means it is 30% compressed. Hope that clears it up. If you do a Dual Layer, your number better say 100%. This = NO Compression.

@bunnyrip

I had been using DVD Decrypter for dual layer burns but thought I would give Clone a try when I got my new Plex at Xmas. I was really suprised and happy when the burn came out so great. I plan on using it for some more dual layer backups.

I have pretty much switched to CloneDVD2 to do my backups as well as they turn out great and with my NEC 3550a set to booktype to ROM it is a breeze. Avg backup time is 22 minutes start to finish.

Can't beat that.

I use Clone mainly for splitting a series disk because I can keep a functional menu on both. But for the majority of movie only I have been using Recode, just personal preference. But at the rate Nero has been spitting out bugs lately on their updates I may go back to Clone.

@arniebear,
CloneDVD 2 won't let you down Man. It has been a Very Good Program and I see NO "bugs" whatsoever so far. I've been using it pretty much Exclusively for over 9 months (With AnyDVD). Matter of fact: On some Newer encryptions when Nero "freezes", CloneDVD 2 worked like a "Charm". Saved me Many times! I still have Recode 2, and on occasion use it, BUT, CloneDVD 2 is IMO Better. Better in Quality, Better in speed too. Those Swiss sure are Intelligent Software writers!
The 2 Sheep can't be Beat! :-)
