I am having problem with sound on dvd after its conversion,(using avi2dvd->dvd decryptor)As I am new to this I try to read a lot, and found that I need to have certain Codec installed, went looking, found XP codec Pak(great) downloaded, installed, burnt movie. Results, excellant picture but sound all very deep and husky, even the girls sound like men.Can not find how to uninstall the XP Pak.
Your help would be appreciated,
Thanks J.
Thanks for the reply Brobear, and yes I have done that, nothing there, now going into systems, hardware and see what i can find in the sound dept. Maybe do a restore and do a comparision.??
What do you think?
Sounds strange. I'd wonder how hardware would be the issue, you didn't change any of that, did you? Some recording software has adjustments for tone and the software for my sound card interface has adjustments as well. If your system has adjustments, you may want to recheck the settings. Normally if Codecs aren't integrated into the operating system, you can manually delete them to get rid of them. If they've made changes that are stored, sometimes opening Start -> Run and typing in the path and exe with -u will undo the settings change. Something like C:\codecs\codec.exe -u Depends on how the program is written, can't hurt. Try that before doing a manual delete.
Sorry about being so long to reply BB, have been away. I have concluded that the prob. was not me, but in the first disk conversion only, all others(9)were fine, no prob. Thanks for your input, great to know that there are people like you that are willing to assist newbies like me.
