Which one should I buy? Is Doom 3: Resurrection of evil like the comp version? In other words: does it mean that I need Doom 3 to play Doom 3:Resurrection of evil?

You don't need Doom 3 to play Ressurection of Evil. RoE picks up right at the end of Doom 3. It's a continuation of the story more than a sequel.

But IMO you should play through Doom 3 first.
